Zakat ul Fitr

Ibn ‘Abbaas said: “The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) made zakaat al-fitr obligatory as a means of purifying the fasting person from idle talk and foul language, and to feed the poor. Whoever pays it before the prayer, it is an accepted zakaat, and whoever pays it after the prayer, it is just a kind of charity (sadaqah).”

Zakat al-Fitr, or the Zakat of Breaking the Fast of Ramadan, is the special obligatory alms paid by all Muslims at the end of the Ramadan fasting month. This year, the amount is $15 per person.

Donation for Masjid

The Prophet (PBUH) said,

“Whosoever builds for Allah a place of worship, Allah will reward him similar to it in paradise.”

(Bukhari and Muslim)

This islamic center is maintained with your support. We need your support to pay off the loan on the masjid as well as the operating expenses. Please donate generously. You can make a one-time donation right now by clicking the Donate button.

You may also become a Sustaining Donor by making monthly donations. This is one of the best ways to support the masjid. Please click the Donate button, choose the Monthly option and then provide all necessary information. You can pay by credit card or directly from your bank account. Direct withdrawal from the bank avoids costly fees.

Donation for Needy

For those who give in Charity, men and women, and loan to Allah a Beautiful Loan, it shall be increased manifold (to their credit), and they shall have (besides) a liberal reward.

~ The Holy Qur’an 57:18

Sadaqah (voluntary charity) is a virtuous deed in Islam. In fact, it is considered as a proof of one’s eeman (faith). The more we give sadaqah the more we increase our eeman and thus, expect Allah’s rewards both in this world and in the life hereafter. Giving charity out of our wealth does not decrease our wealth but instead Allah (s.w.t.) increases it.
